Wedding trends for 2019 – Spring/summer hair accessories
It is an absolute pleasure to be thinking about weddings for spring and summer in 2019! We have seen lots of beautiful save the dates coming through in the last few weeks and so I thought it was time to share some ideas for the wedding hair accessories that we’ll be seeing next year…
Fresh flower crowns
These lovely wedding hair pieces can come in all shapes and sizes, but fresh they must be! Match them with your bouquet, the centre pieces and button holes, go big for the bride and dainty for the bridesmaids and flower girls. Loose, long hair, structured up-do’s or my personal favourite, relaxed bohemian chignon, wedding flower crowns work for any style that suits your face.

Ask your florist for a few sprigs to give your hairdresser or get them to create the whole crown for you. One of our local suppliers even arranges hen parties where you get to create your own!

Hair vines – nature inspired jewellery
Sticking with nature, hair vines are a subtler, yet still stunning addition to the spring/summer wedding hairstyle.
You could go with a natural vine, made by your florist, or you can choose crystals, pearls or gems as the star of the show (in your hair).

Your hairdresser will know exactly how and where to place your vine, to compliment the style of your wedding hair and the curves of your face and neck.
Wedding hair chains are going to be big next year! Not in size, but in popularity, but worry not, with so many styles, sizes and shapes available you will never likely see two the same. Think Great Gatsby with that 20’s vibe and go dramatic with a chain that decorates the top of your hair and your forehead, or more delicate decoration with chains woven through your hairstyle.

Some wedding hair chains are delicate, some bold, so you will be sure to find the perfect style for you and you’re sure to have fun trying out all different ways to wear them!
Whatever style you choose for your wedding hair in 2019, remember to contact your hairdresser in plenty of time for a trial, or have fun playing about with your own and trying as many styles and accessories as you can!
